Rodrigo d’Escoto Jr., is Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Chicago-based Reflection Window + Wall (RWW). RWW is the largest minority-owned designer and manufacturer of high-performance exterior wall systems in the United States. RWW maintains design offices in Chicago, as well as Spain, India, and the Philippines. These offices help Rodrigo with projects ranging from master planning, and programmatic development through construction, in markets around the US including Chicago, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Nashville, San Francisco, LA, Las Vegas, Dallas, West Palm Beach, Phoenix and others.
Rodrigo’s manufacturing concerns and partnerships span millions of square feet from Shanghai, Mumbai, Doha, Cicero, and Indianapolis. The essence of Rodrigo’s success with RWW lies in his ability to find a balance between utility and beauty, cost, and value; and to help his clients make the most of each opportunity through intelligent design of structures and spaces that inspire and serve. Rodrigo is a construction industry leader and is recognized by Crain’s Chicago as a Notable Leader in Sustainability for 2024.
Rodrigo is recognized for his philanthropic endeavors and non-profit work in Chicago. He serves as an advisor to political and business leaders in both Chicago and Washington, D.C. Rodrigo holds a Board position at the West Central Association in the rapidly developing Fulton Market area. He actively supports education by providing financial aid and internship opportunities to Cristo Rey Jesuit High School students and serving as a Board of Trustees member at St. Ignatius College Prep High School. He also supports Mt. Carmel High School. As a member of the Hispanic American Construction Association, Rodrigo is celebrated for his contributions to Chicago’s diverse Latino community and for his support of the Bowery Mission in New York City. His accomplishments have earned him a place in the Who’s Who in Hispanic Business by Negocios Now.
Rodrigo’s family story is woven into the fabric of the city he’s proud to call home. His father was the chief estimator on the construction of the Sears Tower (now Willis), the tallest building in the world for 40 years. He is the grandson of a Nicaraguan diplomat that was an ambassador around the world, including the Vatican which helped fuel his passion and interest in public service. Rodrigo lives in Chicago’s Ukrainian Village with his wife, and their three sons..
